Rockwood Institution is a 23,000 square foot, design build 50 bed addition to the minimum security facility as well as new administration offices.
The project utilized concrete footings secured in bedrock, cast-in-place concrete perimeter walls, reinforced slab on grade concrete and reinforced concrete structural suspended slabs. The building is wood-framed and utilizes pre-fabricated wood trusses and structural glue laminated timber. Construction began in 2012 and was completed in 2014.
